If you hate selling, but you want to make money

I was walking into Office Depot when a man in an apron started waving me down. He was selling candy bars for a fundraiser, but he was also selling toys for kids for the holidays. And if I didn't want to buy those things, I could donate money directly to the state troopers. He could take cash, credit, debit, paypal, or venmo. If I wanted to go back to my car to grab spare change, he said, he'd wait. He said all of that before I said a word, which is my favorite part of the story.

If you're going to make a good living doing what you love, you'll need to learn how to sell in a way that feels good in your soul. You're a kind person. You don't want to sell like that the man outside Office Depot.

I get it. I can help you with that.

Selling isn't inherently sleazy, manipulative, or pushy. We just live in a world where there's a lot of sleazy, manipulative, and pushy selling. The good news is: you don't have to sell like that. Great selling should feel incredible for the person selling and the person being sold to.

You don't have to convince people who don't see the value of coaching to understand it. You don't have to force people to understand the importance of owning art and supporting artists. You don't even have to convince friends and family to buy from you. And you definitely don't need to dance in reels – unless that's your thing.

There are 4 components to incredible selling:

1. Sell only to the people who give consent.

2. Sell only to people who actively want what you're offering.

3. Sell with the intention of creating a lifelong relationship.

4. Assume you're loved.

That's it. I'll teach you how to master all four.

When you do, people will love giving you money. They'll buy anything you offer, even if your marketing isn't flashy -- because you've earned their trust. You'll feel calm sharing your price. You'll never worry about paying your overhead or affording great health insurance, because you'll always be selling. Which means you'll always be earning money. That's what we do when we're good at something and it feels good.

You don't have to be extroverted to do this. You don't need a business background or a big social media following. This process works even if you're not on social media or the internet, at all.

You just need to learn a new skill set.

Selling is simple. It can feel good in your soul. You can make great money doing what you love.
